Activities Children at the center are divided into small, family groups according to each individuals level of development. It is in these groups that the child is exposed to a variety of guided and self-directed activities. The following activities are offered throughout the day: story-time, music, large and small muscle development, outside play, activity time, learning centers, dramatic and free play. Also included during the week are: science, cooking experiences, painting experiences, sensory table play, movies and other special events. Meals Breakfast will be served to all children who arrive at the center by 8:30 a.m. Other meals include: lunch and an afternoon snack. Young People's Place belongs to the Child Care Food Program which ensures and monitors the nutritional values of all meals. Parent Involvement In order to ensure that parents are involved with their child's progress at the center, conferences will be scheduled at designated intervals. Parents are encouraged to become as involved in the center's operation as their schedule permits. Hours: 6:15 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Ages: 16 months through Kindergarten Main About Us School-Age
